Well, not much. No, that's not true. There are always events meetings and get togethers. The daily chores, maintenance, and plans are always there. Even when it seems like there isn't much going on, there are numerous items that need to be performed. They range from the mundane to the unique. Wake up, shower, shave, drive to work, accomplish something at work, be it planning, fixing, or instruction, drive home, and perform the evening rituals. Dinner, homework, watching the news, baths for children, read a book or watching a movie, maybe a game or two. So, what's happening? Not much, except family life and that can be pretty exhausting.
My ex wife is somewhere out there doing something. It's been 18 days since she showed up on Christmas day for a half-hour visit. You may think this is a good thing, but it's not. Both Sarah and Billy miss their mom, and their brothers. The worst part is the brothers. The half-brothers, I should say, but children at that age don’t really know about how that works, except that their mom's other children are not my children. My ex-wife has asked for some unreasonable settlements, asked that she be allowed extra visitation, and not followed through.
It is hard to maintain a positive, healthy home environment with external issues. Any problems that happen to my ex-wife’s new family affect my children because they are part of that external family and my current family.
