Take a good hard look at this image. And get used to it. This is the image of America's failed social contract. This is the image of the poor, the downtrodden and the neglected. This is conservative political ideology.
I would like to say that Bush's America consists of corporate politician donors, and the ultra rich. It would be true. I would like to say that the Democrats are doing everything they can to fight for the poor, to fight against Bush's vision of America, but that would be false.
The truth is, both political parties, the media, the government and the people in general have failed. No one party no matter how callous could twist the political capital so far to the right and the corporate without acquiescence from the rest of us. The media has not reported honestly about Bush. His administration has been based upon a series of lies from his dubious installation as president, to his latest callous failure to provide the services necessary to protect the most vulnerable among us.
The democrats roll over and give only token resistance to the Bush agenda, their corporate backers are the same as the republican donors.
Get used to seeing the image above. Its going to be happening more and more often.
