I think our representatives in Washington have been replaced by space aliens. They just don't make sense anymore. Today, they voted for a constitutional amendment to ban flag burning. But, I don't understand why. There are many things they could have done. They could have voted to restore the $100 million dollars which was slashed from the CPB budget. They could have started an investigation into the disappearance of the $2.4 Billion dollars of $100 dollar bills that some bozo shipped to Iraq. They could have passed a constitutional amendment protecting social security. Or bring the troops home from Iraq, or investigate the downing street memo's, or close the torture center called Guantanimo, or provide more money for public schools, or scrap the terrible bankruptcy bill, or provide relief to cancer sufferers with a medical marijuana bill, or fund alternate energy to give us some relief from the oil barons. But they didn't. They voted to protect a piece of fabric, probably made in China. We have our own Nero who fiddles while Rome burns. But this time, we wont be reading about it in a history book, we get to experience it as it happens.
